Hi! Hi! Hi! I'm Pip, a 7-month-old, 40-pound Black Lab mix! I've gotten a second chance at finding a new home, and am SO EXCITED, 'cause I just arrived in the DC area!

My shelter says I've got all that legendary Lab energy you'd expect, but I'm smart and super sweet! I sure am looking forward to long walks, maybe learning how to fetch, playing in water, and running around the dog park at top speed to work out my zoomies! On the other hand, if I'm well-exercised and spend a little time every day working on my commands, I know I'll be ready to crash out for a nice long nap on my cozy bed, YOUR cozy bed, in front of the TV, in the kitchen... eh, pretty much anywhere.

I get along well with other dogs, and while I'm not sure how I'll do around cats or kids, we can certainly find out if you have 'em. Additionally, I can't wait for you to sign me up for some obedience classes, so I can learn all my commands and manners and show you what a good boy I can be!

According to my fosters, I am a very pleasant houseguest! "Pip is stunningly handsome, passionate, athletic, and intelligent. He craves human friendships and loves the great outdoors."

Like most shelter dogs, Pip may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained.
