Approximate Date of Birth: 2/18/2011

Meet Bowser!  Bowser is a male American bulldog approximately five years old with a loving, sweet disposition which belies his macho physique and thunderous bark. He is fully potty trained, obeys basic commands (sit, stay, come, no, drop it), takes pills without fuss, and easily accepts man’s hygienic demands (bathing, nail clipping, ear cleaning, and currently working on tooth brushing). He is now fully recovered from a heart worm episode so he can begin enjoying more physical activities and his behavior with small children and other animals can be assessed.

Bowser is a quiet, well-behaved animal who gets very nosey in new environments. He likes people once he sniffingly evaluates their worthiness. He is an awesome walking companion easily matching the walker’s stride. He is a cuddle-bunny who loves to have his tummy rubbed and has an endearing habit of gently pulling at your hand to continue rubbing. Although you can set your watch to his toilet schedule, he will let out one thunderous “woof” if nature calls at an unexpected time. Bowser loves vegetables, fruit, ice cubes, and rawhide chews. While his favorite activity is snoozing, he always seems to have one eye open guarding his human’s back.

Because Bowser is so low-maintenance, he would make a wonderful companion to an empty-nester working couple or to a household with energetic (and often distracted) teenagers.
