Adorable Artis is seeking sanctuary!

ARTIS NEEDS A FOSTER OR A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Artis    Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd mix 

Best Guess for Age: 1-2 years as 7/5/17     SEX: male

Approximate Weight: 40 lbs. 

Has Lived With: other dogs and maybe cats (he is good with them!!)

Currently Living at: DC Boarding. 

Special Adoption Consideration: Artis has some nerves and is a bit timid as he figures out his place in this big world, so we require that Artis go to a home that has another dog to help show him the way! 

Artis is a 1-2 year old, 40 pound Shepherd mix who is making his grand debut to the DC area on July 15th! Artis doesn't know why he ended up all alone in a shelter, but he definitely doesn't belong there! He is searching for a new, loving family that will make sure he doesn't end up in a shelter ever again! 

Artis is absolutely ADORABLE and full of personality with that inquisitive little face! He would look great walking next to you through the city while you find an outdoor brunch spot, would love to join you as you pack up and head to the beach, or maybe camp out and play in the backyard with the kids. Artis is a youngster so he would love regular play dates at the dog park, could make a great jogging buddy or could go all state and win an agility championship! He gets along well with other dogs (and cats!!) so he would fit in well with an existing pack, or could be an only child and soak up all the attention. He would also greatly benefit from obedience school where he can master the techniques of being a good boy! Whatever your lifestyle, Artis just wants to be a part of it! 

Like most shelter dogs, Artis may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained.
