Best Guess for Age: 9-10 weeks as of 7/6   SEX: female

Approximate Weight: 7 lbs.

Has Lived With: other dogs

Special adoption considerations: Dew is a young puppy and will need someone who is home a lot to care for her, or someone who is able to hire a professional dog walker 2x plus a day until she is old enough for once a day. She will need to finish her vetting and be spayed at 6 months. This will be the adopter's responsibility and the rescue will require proof of completion. 

Look at this sweet pup!!  Meet Dew, she is a beautiful rat terrier mix, approximately 9-10 weeks old, and weights approximately 7 lbs. This little baby is obviously hoping to find her forever home soon. She is dreaming of climbing onto a lap for cuddles and a nap! Then she will no doubt hop down to play, chew, eat, and run, before repeating all of the above again. Dew is ready to be trained, snuggled and loved for the rest of her life.

Dew loves to play, is curious, a little shy, sweet, friendly, and well socialized.  She wants to be home and be able to go rompin' around in her very own yard smelling the pretty spring flowers!  Her dream would be long walks sniffing along, doggy parks, peanut butter kongs and a cozy bed to call all hers - she wouldn't mind sharing with you!

Since Dew is soo young, she will be a big responsibility and take a lot of time, lookin' after and training.  She is a blank slate ready to be trained and molded into your perfect pup! She will probably be good with kids and cats since she is just a puppy but she have never lived with them officially. 

Dew is not old enough to have had all of her vaccines.  It will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time.  Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, she is at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.   

Due to her young age, Dew has not yet been spayed.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than 10/21/2017.   

Like most puppies, she will need to work on her housetraining. She will also need to go to obedience school so she can grow into a well-socialized dog!
