Honey has an adoption pending her arrival to the DC area but she would love if you would consider adopting one of her furiends on our website!

Approximate Weight: 60 lbs.

Has Lived With: other dogs and kids

Currently Living at: Honey is living in a scary shelter. She needs a foster home, or better yet, a forever home! 

Honey is a 2 year old, 60 pound Retriever mix who who has found herself homeless through no fault of her own. She has been let down by humans and is searching for a new, loving family that will make sure she doesn't end up all alone ever again! 

Honey is a very sweet, beautiful girl who deserves a family that can show her what living the sweet life can be all about! She would love long walks, hiking, fetch, trips to the dog park, great toys, belly rubs, naps and kisses! That's a small price to pay for a lifetime of love in return isn't it?         

Honey gets along well with other dogs so she would fit in well with an existing pack, or could be an only child and soak up all the attention. Honey has lived with children so she would make a great addition to an established family. Like any dog, Honey would greatly benefit from obedience school where she can master the techniques of being a good girl! Whatever your lifestyle, Honey just wants to join in on the fun! 

Like most shelter dogs, Honey may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.
