ADOPTION PENDING!
Yallo has an adoption pending his arrival to the DC area but he asks that you check out all of his other friends on our website patiently waiting for their forever homes!
Name: Yallo Best Guess for Breed: Lab mix
Best Guess for Age: 2 years as of 7/15/17 SEX: male
Approximate Weight: 60 lbs.
Has Lived With: other dogs
Currently Living at: A scary shelter and really needs to jail break to a loving foster home!!
Yallo is a 2 year old, 60 pound lab mix who is in desperate need of a loving family. He doesn't know why he ended up all alone in a shelter, but he definitely doesn't belong there! Yallo is a big handsome yellow lab mix and who doesn't love that? He is an All American man! He would look great hiking next to you, would love charging into the water after a tennis ball or maybe BBQ and play in the yard with the kids.
Yallo is a young lab so he will need a lot of exercise to keep him happy and healthy! He will need lots of trips to the dog park, runs and adventures! He gets along well with other dogs so he would fit in well with an existing pack, or could be an only child and soak up all the attention. He would also greatly benefit from obedience school where he can master the techniques of being a good boy! Whatever your lifestyle, Yallo just wants to be a part of it!
Like most shelter dogs, Yallo may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained.
Yallo has tested positive, and has already been treated, for Heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative.
The adoption fee for this dog is $450, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Lauren at laurenm@luckydoganimalrescue.org!
