Currently Living at:  DC foster home - Jemma needs a furever home!

Special adoption considerations: very young, needs frequent attention and potty breaks

Hello, my name is Jemma. I'm a 20 pound, female, terrier mix and I'm patiently waiting for my chance at a furever home. I feel like I've been waiting for so long, but I'm willing to keep waiting until my furever family or person comes to get me. I won't give up hope.

I'm not sure how I ended up in the scary shelter, but I know I didn't like it. It's loud and noisy and there were lots of dogs a lot bigger than me. Sometimes they tried to boss me around and take my toys. Most of them were really nice though and some told me what a furever home is like.

They said that at a furever home you get your own toys and treats and you get to go on fun walks and maybe even puppy school or the dog park. It sounds like heaven to me! I can't wait to find my furever home.

Until that happens, I'm going to wait right here ... Hopefully I won't have to wait too much longer. Are you waiting for a special doggie like me? I hope so!

Jemma is not old enough to have had all of her vaccines. It will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, she is at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.

Due to her young age, Jemma has not been spayed. As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than 11/1/17!

Due to a puppy's need for attention and frequent bathroom excursions, we do not adopt dogs under 5 months of age to homes where no one is home during the day. This means no 9-5ers, unless you commit to hiring a dog walker to come multiple times a day.

Like most puppies, Jemma will need to work on his housetraining. Jemma will also need to go to obedience school so she can grow into a well-socialized dog!

The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which includes the cost of transport from the shelter and routine vetting, vaccinations. If you are interested in adopting, please download our  Adoption Questionnaire  and email it to Kristen at kristenn@luckydoganimalrescue.org.
