Hello lovely potential family! My name is Shade and I’m patiently waiting to find my forever home. I’m not sure how this is even possible but my brother and I wound up in a scary shelter. Now we hear we’re head to Washington DC from South Carolina to find our forever homes!

A little more about me… as you can see I’m downright darling with fluffy light tan fur and the cutest white spotted socks you’ve ever seen. I’m about 10 weeks old and 10 lbs so my guess is I’ll be a medium to large sized girl when I grow up. People say they think I’m a spaniel mix but who the heck really knows!

Since I’m such a young lady I’ll need lots and lots of exercise, socialization and patience during my puppy years!  I like other dogs and chances are because I’m so young, I’ll probably be good with kids and cats too once I meet them! 

Shade is not old enough to have had all vaccines.  It will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time.  Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, it is at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.

Due to the young age, Shade l has not been spayed.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than 11/7/17!  NO EXCEPTIONS!

Due to a puppy's need for attention and frequent bathroom excursions, we do not adopt dogs under 5 months of age to homes where no one is home during the day. This means no 9-5ers, unless you commit to hiring a dog walker to come multiple times a day.

Like all puppies, Shade will need to work on housetraining and will also need to go to obedience school to grow into a well-socialized dog!
