Well, HEY-ya! I'm Mona, and I'm a 1-year-old, 45-pound Labrador retriever mix. And I just arrived in the DC area and find my new forever family!

I'm a young girl, so chances are I'm going to have a lot of energy! Long walks, frequent opportunities to run or go to the dog park, maybe a little playing in a kiddie pool or a stream on these especially hot days--all of that sounds great to me! I can't wait to get outside and get my wiggles out! On the other hand, after a long day of playing and running around, I sure like the idea of being able to snuggle up in a comfy bed of my very own. Of course, if you're okay with me hopping up on the couch or your bed for a nice long nap, who am I to complain?

I do NOT care for cats, so if you have them, I'd probably not be a great fit for your family. I'm not sure how I'll do with kids yet, but we can certainly find that out when I roll into town! Additionally, I can't wait for you to sign me up for some obedience classes. I'm super sweet, but I could work on my commands and manners a bit more--plus, we would get to spend extra time working together! Sounds like a win-win to me!

So, how about it? Are you ready for a bouncing little lady like me to join your family? Fill out and submit an application for me today!

Like most shelter dogs, Mona may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Liz K. at lizk@luckydoganimalrescue.org!
