Meet Ryder!  This handsome boy is a 2 year old Lab mix, weighing in at approximately 60 pounds. Ryder found himself at the shelter through no fault of his own and is looking for a forever family to give him the love and attention he deserves! Could it be  yours?

Ryder is a  lively and playful dog, so he’ll require an active family that will provide him with plenty of exercise and playtime! He will need both mental and physical stimulation on a daily basis to keep him happy and healthy.  He is VERY strong and athletic, so we're not sure whether a home with small children will be the best place for him. He's a happy soul, who wants to be friendly with humans and dogs, and play with everybody.  He will probably need to go to a dog park several times a week to get his fill of exercise and socialization...and with some training, he'd make a great running partner!

Although Ryder gets along well with other dogs, he doesn't do well with cats! So far at events Ryder has done well around kids, but as noted he may not be the best match for a home with little ones.   Ryder is also looking forward to attending obedience school to hone in his doggie manners and impress his new family.

 Like most shelter dogs, Ryder may need a refresher on house-training. He is likely crate trained.  Ryder hopes you will want to take him home with you!
