Hi, my name is Shaggy and I'm a 5 month old, female, 20 pound, lab mix looking for my very own furever home. Me and my brother and sister, Simon and Sierra, are really grateful that the nice people at Lucky Dog are giving us the chance to go to DC and find our special person or people. We really, really don't like the shelter. It's cold and noisy and we get really nervous. We try to be brave and help each other, but it's really hard.

Do you think you have some space in your home for a little bed, some fun toys, and maybe some yummy treats? I wouldn't take up too much room, although the people at the shelter say I might get a little bit bigger. But I'll be very good, I promise. I wish I could go to obedience school so I could learn some real doggie manners. I would try so hard and I bet I could be the best in the class!

I love playing with other dogs, especially my brother and sister! I haven't met any cats or kids yet, but I'm willing to give it a try. I am a little bit nervous and shy, so it takes me a little while to warm up to you. But once I do, I just love cuddles and pets. I think I would really like to snuggle up on a couch for a nice nap. That sounds heavenly!

Do you have some space in your home and your heart for a little girl like me? I hope so! I look forward to meeting you!

Because Shaggy is so young, she'll need someone to keep an eye on her during the day. If you work 9-5 and are interested in taking this sweet girl home we may ask that you can provide proof of a multi-times a day dog walker so that she is able to get out and about while you're gone!

Like most shelter dogs, Shaggy may need a refresher on house training. She is likely crate trained.

The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our  Adoption Questionnaire  and email it to Kristen at kristenn@luckydoganimalrescue.org .

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament
