What A Fun and Feisty Pup!
ZENA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Zena Best Guess for Breed: Aussie/Lab Mix
Best Guess for Age: 4.5 months SEX: female
Approximate Weight: 20.4 pounds as of 9/1717
Has Lived With: other dogs
Currently Living at: DC area foster
Special adoption considerations: This baby girl is very young. She will need someone who is around a lot! If you work full time you would need proof of a dog walker once a day (or puppy daycare). She is young enough to learn to love kids and cats if introduced properly.
Zena is a gorgeous little girl with a beautiful chocolate coat and golden eyes that seem to look right into your soul. She is dreaming of a home where someone is around a lot to work with her, care for her and love her. Rena has been very patient, waiting for her perfect forever family to find her. She is very ready to come home.
Zena is hoping her new home will include LOTS of puppy toys! Especially ones that SQUEAK! She is looking forward to taking her Mom or Dad on lots of walkies to explore the neighborhood. If she could rest her head on your lap in the evenings to read or watch TV together., she would be in heaven. She promises to make you proud in a training class! Zena thoroughly enjoys the company other canine foster siblings and would be happy with canine or human siblings to play with!
If you think this little girl would be the perfect addition to your family, (and she would be!) please contact the coordinator (Sue) listed below with your completed application (link below) because a certain little someone is pretty excited about coming home soon ...for forever!
Zena is not old enough to have had all of her vaccines. (She will need her rabies shot at approx 5 months) It will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, she is at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.
Due to her young age, he has not yet been spayed. As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than 10/29/17.
Like most puppies, she will need to work on her housetraining. She will also need to go to obedience school so she can grow into a well-socialized dog! The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.
