DIGIT NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Digit    Best Guess for Breed: Black lab Mix

Best Guess for Age: 5 months as of 8/25/17    SEX: male

Approximate Weight: 30 lbs.

Has Lived With: other dogs 

Currently Living at: DC foster.

Digit is a spunky 5 month old old Black Lab mix. He weighs about 30 lbs and, because of his age, is still growing. We don't know how this sweet boy ended up in a shelter but it hasn't dampened his spirits one bit and he can't wait to meet his forever family!

Digit will need plenty of exercise and playtime each day to be a happy and healthy pup. He would love to go on daily long walks, hikes and regular trips to the dog park. After he's tuckered out, Digit loves cuddling up for a nice nap and belly rub.

Digit is good with other dogs so he'd be a great addition to an existing pack or happy to soak up all the attention as an only dog. The nice folks at Lucky Dog don't know how Digit is with cats but if you're interested, let us know and we can try to find out!

Foster Update: Digit has been AMAZING! Since we got him on Sunday he has been nothing but loving, cuddly, and playful.  He is very good about going to the bathroom outside and held it perfectly throughout both nights I have had him.  Digit is the kind of dog that reflects your energy, when I am excited, he returns the favor and can’t wait to play. But when I am relaxed, working, or focused on something else, he is great at occupying himself or cuddling on the couch.  I have only heard him bark while playing with other dogs outside - he has been very polite to my apartment neighbors :)

Like most puppies, Digit will need to work on his housetraining. Digit will also need to go to obedience school so he can grow into a well-socialized dog!
