PIDGE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Pidge    Best Guess for Breed: Pointer mix

Best Guess for Age: 10-12 months as of 8/26/17     SEX: Female

Approximate Weight: 35-40 pounds

Has Lived With: other dogs, passed cat test

Currently Living at: DC area foster

Oh wow! I'm Pidge-- a 35-40 pound pointer mix, and I'm probably between 10 and 12 months old. I just arrived in the DC area with my brother Pogo, and--as predicted--he hogged all the space in the carrier on the way! I enjoy rodeos of all kinds, and dream of being the dog who runs around with a little monkey dressed up like a cowboy on my back between events.

I am a very young girl, so plenty of exercise every day is a MUST. I can't wait to go on long walks, trips to the dog park to make friends and run around, and maybe even go running or swimming with you! On the other hand, once I get good and worn out? A nap on a very comfy bed of my own sounds dreamy! Man! My tail just keeps wagging every time I think of it!

I can't wait to take some obedience classes with you so I can learn all my manners and commands, and show you what a very good girl I can be! However, I think I'm going to be a quick study, based on the wonderful things my foster has to say about me: "Pidge is such a cutie.  Quite the cuddler. Pidge has been great with my kids (12 and 14) as well as all the younger kids (kindergarten or older) at the bus stop and soccer fields :)   She has had NO accidents and likes relaxing in her crate (we leave the door open all the time for her when home); and she walks really well on a leash!!She has been an easy-peasy foster pup!"

So, what do you think? Are you ready for a sweet girl like me to join your family? Fill out and submit an application for me today!

Like most shelter dogs, Pidge may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Liz at lizk@luckydoganimalrescue.org!
