Saved from the flood waters of Hurricane Harvey!

BRANDON NEEDS A FOSTER OR A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Brandon      Best Guess for Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier

Best Guess for Age: 1 y/o     SEX: male

Approximate Weight: 45lbs

Has Lived With:  dogs, kids

Currently Living at: Local boarding. Brandon is looking for his forever family!

Brandon is one of the first dogs Lucky Dog committed to saving from the flood waters caused by Hurricane Harvey down in Houston, Texas.  Brandon is SO grateful to Lucky Dog for being saved and brought to DC to make room in Texas for all the abandoned dogs.

Brandon LOVES other dogs and hasn't met a dog he wouldn't love to play with. Brandon is always trying to play with anyone he meets and would be a great companion for a high energy household! Brandon is a DREAM of a dog - as long as you like high energy, goofy, hilarious GIANT puppies. Brandon doesn't realize quite how large he is and is always trying to cuddle on top of you or as close as he can get to that. Brandon will settle down occasionally but not before he's visited the park at least once and gone on a very long walk. But when he wakes up from his nap, trust us when we say IT IS TIME TO GO GO GO.

Brandon loves EVERYONE. Whether it's a child or another dog, all he wants to do is give you a million kisses and be your best friend. He would be a fantastic dog for any sort of owner - whether it's your first dog or your 100th. He definitely needs training but anyone willing to enroll in basic obedience school will see amazing results immediately.

Like most shelter dogs, Brandon may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained.

Brandon has tested positive and was treated for Heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites.  Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative.

The adoption fee for this dog is $450, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment.  If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Elissa at elissak@luckydoganimalrescue.org!

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption.  That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament
