Hey, Y'all! I'm Daphne--a 10-month-old, 22-pound Catahoula/Shepherd mix--and I love the following things: curling up in your lap, kids, playing with your kids, running around with your other dogs--and I will even snuggle up with your rabbits for a nap! Oh! And I love running around with your kids, too. Did I mention I LOVE KIDS?? My gentle spirit and easygoing attitude would be a welcome addition to any busy household. I am also is an excellent listener and, I'm told, give extremely sensible advice for one so young.

I was sitting in a shelter in Houston for no good reason, when Hurricane Harvey decided he was going to make landfall down there, and so some nice folks out in San Antonio came and grabbed me so I could help make room for another dog who maybe got separated from his or her humans in the storm. And then once I got to San Antonio, I found out I would be coming here! Hooooo! That's a lot of travel for a young girl like me!

Because I am a young girl, I'm probably going to need nice, long walks, frequent trips to the dog park, and plenty of opportunities to play and run around! However, when I'm all kinds of tired out, I sure look forward to taking a snooze on my very own new cozy bed! Aw, man! That sounds just heavenly!

I'm not sure how I'll do with cats yet, but we can certainly figure that out when I get to town! And, as previously mentioned, a household with KIDS! would be ideal! Additionally, I can't wait for you to sign me up for some obedience classes, so I can show you what a polite and well-mannered young lady I can be!

Here are some words from my San Antonio foster: "Daphne was very loving and bonded with my kids, who are older. Daphne is very well mannered in the house, chews only on her toys, and didn't bark too much. Daphne is ok on a leash, and also great on car rides. She also got along with my lab and beagle."

Like most shelter dogs, Daphne may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.
