6-year old female Chihuahua mix
BRIGHT NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Bright Best Guess for Breed: Chihuahua mix
Best Guess for Age: 6 years old SEX: female
Approximate Weight: 15 lbs.
Has Lived With: other dogs
Currently Living at the shelter, Bright needs a foster and a forever home.
Special adoption considerations: Bright cannot go to a home with children under the age of 15 due to her breed.
A cheerful, happy little dog, Bright more than lives up to her name. This lively Chi mix will warm your heart with her big smile and amusing ways. Life hasn't been easy for Bright but you would never guess that to look at her. For this dog each day is a new adventure and she can't wait to find someone to share it with.
At just 15 lbs. Bright would be a good fit for many people. She needs daily exercise but won't exhaust you in the process. Don't forget to enroll her in obedience class. Chihuahuas are small but they have a big dog attitude and training will help Bright learn how to be the best dog she can be.
If you look closely at Bright's photo you will see that her left eye looks different than the right one. The left one is clouded over, leaving her unable to see out of that eye. The good news is this hasn't slowed her down one bit! Bright's right eye is fine - no seeing eye dog is needed for this little girl!
Like most shelter dogs, Bright may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained. Bright gets along well with other dogs and is friendly with cats. Bright cannot go to a home with kids under 15.
The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Diane at dianep@luckydoganimalresue.org!
