Houston came to Lucky Dog on 9/9 as part of an emergency evacuation from Jacksonville, Florida in advance of Hurricane Irma's arrival.  We are so grateful to all of the wonderful donors and volunteers who made this transport possible!  We have had very little time to get to know the evacuation dogs, but the shelter in Jacksonville tells us the are good with other dogs and are ready to join their forever homes! 

Meet Houston! This handsome boy is a 2 year old rottweiler mix, weighing in at approximately 64 lbs. Houston found himself at the shelter through no fault of his own and now with Hurricane Irma, he needs a forever home more now than ever! Could that home be yours?

Houston's foster mom reports that he likes other dogs and is well-mannered. 

  Houston is a lively and playful dog, so he’ll require an active family that will provide him with plenty of exercise and playtime! He will need both mental and physical stimulation on a daily basis to keep him happy and healthy.  He would love to go on long walks and hikes, and take trips to the dog park so he can socialize with his canine friends. And of course, upon returning home, he'd love to shower his new forever family with plenty of cuddles and kisses!

Houston is also looking forward to attending obedience school to hone in his doggie manners and impress his new family.   Like most shelter dogs, Frazier may need a refresher on housetraining!
