MARY BETH NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Mary Beth    Best Guess for Breed: Lab/ Shep Mix

Best Guess for Age: 7 years     SEX: female

Approximate Weight: 50lbs

Has Lived With: Dogs

Currently Living at: DC Foster

Special adoption considerations: Mary Beth came to Lucky Dog on 9/9 as part of an emergency evacuation from Jacksonville, Florida in advance of Hurricane Irma's arrival.  We are so grateful to all of the wonderful donors and volunteers who made this transport possible!

Mary Beth is one of the lucky ones.  She got out of the hurricane's way in the nick of time.  She is hoping her luck stays strong and she can find a forever home soon!

Mary Beth is a calm gal.  She would be happy with three walks a day, two square meals, and a soft bed to lie in.  She has lived with dogs and does extremely well with them.  She walks well on the leash and is very gentle.

Even though she is a bit older -- which means many people might pass her by -- she has a LOT of love to still give.  She is looking for that special someone to open her heart and home to her.  While she is a calm dog, cats are something that make her very excited and hyper and she does not respect their personal space - as such, we ask that Mary Beth go to a home with NO cats.

Mary Beth really is an absolute dream.  She does not jump on anyone and does not lick anyone.  She doesn't bark, even when a dog approaches and growls in her face.  She is super mellow.  She enjoys walks and my daughter had her play fetch for a bit this morning.  Mostly, she will curl next to you - on the couch, the floor, the bed and wait to get  petted.

She had no accidents, even with the medications that loosened her stool.  In fact, she walks to the door to announce she needs to go outside.  She curls up in the seat in the car so she seems accustomed to car rides.

Like most shelter dogs, Mary Beth may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Elissa at elissak@luckydoganimalrescue.org!
