Hi, my name is Eva and I'm a 9 week old, female, 7 pound, retriever/dachshund mix looking for my very own forever home. My siblings and I are really grateful that the nice people at Lucky Dog are giving us the chance to go to DC and find our special person or people. We really, really don't like the shelter. It's cold and noisy and we get really nervous. We try to be brave and help each other, but it's really hard.

Do you think you have some space in your home for a little bed, some fun toys, and maybe some yummy treats? I wouldn't take up too much room, although the people at the shelter say I might get a little bit bigger. But I'll be very good, I promise. I wish I could go to obedience school so I could learn some real doggie manners. I would try so hard and I bet I could be the best in the class!

I love playing with other dogs, especially my sister! I haven't met any cats or kids yet, but I'm willing to give it a try. I think I would really like to snuggle up on a couch for a nice nap. That sounds heavenly!

Do you have some space in your home and your heart for a little girl like me? I hope so! I look forward to meeting you!

Eva is not old enough to have had all of her vaccines. It will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, she is at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.

Due to a puppy's need for attention and frequent bathroom excursions, we do not adopt dogs under 5 months of age to homes where no one is home during the day. This means no 9-5ers, unless you commit to hiring a dog walker to come multiple times a day.

Due to her young age, she has not yet been spayed.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than 1/7/17.

Like most shelter dogs, Eva may need a refresher on house training. She is likely crate trained.

The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Ali at alip@luckydoganimalrescue.org.

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament
