Special Adoption Considerations: Hera came to DC with some orthopedic injuries - she will need a dedicated adopter to help her through her journey! 

Meet Hera! Hera is a beautiful 7 month old 18 lbs terrier mix who recently traveled all the way to DC from Kosovo! 

Hera's an adorable little girl, with a scruffy terrier coat and ears like a jackrabbit. She's had some struggles in her young life. If you look closely at her YouTube video you will see she looks a bit awkward when she runs. That's because one of Hera's hind legs was broken and did not heal properly. It doesn't slow her down but it is something that we want potential adopters to be aware of as we help her find a home. She's currently living the good life in an amazing foster home where she is learning how to be a great little sister to her canine foster siblings! 

Hera's a sweet girl who loves to play, especially with her toys. She will be sure to keep you entertained. Terriers are tough little dogs who can be very independent. You will want to enroll Hera in obedience class early so she can learn all she needs to know about being a well-behaved dog.

Like most shelter dogs, Hera may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained. Hera is fine with other dogs but has not yet been tested with cats or kids.
