Currently Living at: Rural Shelter. Ellie Jane will be arriving in the area and needs a foster or better yet...FOREVER home!

Special adoption considerations: SECOND DOG REQUIRED--Ellie Jane is a shy dog and needs another dog in the home to help her build her confidence. Young dog. Cannot be left for a full 8+ hour work day. Proof of midday dog walking commitment required for standard 9-5 work day applicants.

Hey y'all, Ellie Jane here...I'm not sure what I did to end up at this scary shelter but here I am. Thankfully Lucky Dog has agreed to bring me to the DC area and find me a super home. As you can see I need a little TLC. Someone didn't take really good care of me and they let me get Demodex which is a skin condition caused by mites. But don't worry I'm getting treated for it and before long my coat will be bright and shiny.

I'd love a new home to go with that healthy new coat, so can you open your heart and home to a girl like me? Please know that you'll need to have another dog in order to bring me home. I'm a little shy and need the help of another dog to help me build my braves and become a confident young girl. 

I'd love to take long walks in the crisp fall air, and tumble thru a pile of freshly fallen leaves. And trips to the dog park where I can make canine friends would be grand.

Whattya say friend, take a chance on a sweet southern gal like me? Okay then...get to filling out that application already...I'm waiting!

Ellie Jane is not old enough to have had all of her vaccines.  It will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time.  Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, she is at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.   

Due to her young age, Ellie Jane has not yet been spayed or neutered.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than 11/15/2017.   

Like most puppies, Ellie Jane will need to work on her housetraining. Ellie Jane will also need to go to obedience school so she can grow into a well-socialized dog!
