Current Living At: A cold, scary shelter in SC. Fritz will need a foster, or better yet, a forever home when he arrives to DC!

Special adoption considerations: Fritz is most comfortable with another dog, therefore requires a second pup friend to show him the ropes in his forever home.

Meet Fritz! This gorgeous, bi-color eyed, 40 pound lab/shepherd mix pup has waited nearly a year for a forever home. He is thankful that Lucky Dog is bringing him to the DC area, because he is certain he will find just that! In addition to seeking a permanent family, he will need to have a doggy brother or sister to show him that being a dog can be great! Due to what Fritz has been through, he is a little nervous and shy. The world is a scary place for him right now, but with love, training and the help of another furry friend, he is sure to adjust beautifully and show off that personality that's been sheltered!

Just because Fritz is shy, doesn't mean won't love the things that all dogs love! Long walks and hikes, fetch in the yard, cuddling on the couch and, of course, lots of treats and belly scratches!

He would also love to go to obedience school which will not only teach him manners and appropriate behavior, but will greatly help with boosting his confidence! Fritz may require extra love and patience, but he will surely pay you back ten-fold with love and affection! 

Like most shelter dogs, Fritz may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained.
