Meet adorable, adoptable Athena! This 1 year old, retriever-pointer mix doesn't know how she ended up in a scary shelter, but can't wait to come up to DC and meet her forever family!

Athena is around 26 pounds, but she may fill out a little more.  At a year old, Athena will need lots of exercise and play time at the dog park.  She would be a great addition to any active family who will take her on plenty of walks.  Athena is a very sweet and loving pup with lots of playful energy.

Athena does well with other dogs, but we do not know yet how she does with cats or children.  Bring this sweet young lady into your family and help her find her furever home :)

Like most shelter dogs, Athena may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.
