Hi! I'm Nala! I'm a 3 year old, 8 lbs. Chihuahua Mix, and I'm looking for my new forever family... maybe that's with you?

At 3 years old, I am out of that crazy puppy stage but still have plenty of energy! I like long walks, lounging around on the couch with you while you're watching TV or reading a good book, and keeping you company on your drives here and there! Now that Fall is nearly here, I'm looking forward to romping around in some crunchy leaves.  I am also small enough I can be one of those dogs that you put in your purse or your man purse (I love everyone).  I would love to do an obedience class with you, so I can learn good manners and get to do all the fun things that city dogs get to do!  I have heard that I am super sweet and I really love to give puppy kisses!

I play well with my dog friends.  I am not quite sure how I feel about kids or cats, but the nice people at Lucky Dog said they can check that out for you, if you are interested in me being a part of your home!!

Like most shelter dogs,  may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.

Nala has tested positive and is awaiting treatment for Heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites.  Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative.
