Meet Carmen, a young and feisty little Fox Terrier mix. If you want a small dog that's a bundle of energy look no further. Bred to hunt Fox Terriers are known for their stamina and tenacity.  Carmen is not the type of dog who will be happy to just lay at your feet, unless it's right after you have taken her for a long hike or run.You will never be bored with Carmen around!

Despite her small size Carmen will need more than just walks around the neighborhood. Frequent trips to a fenced-in dog park or doggie daycare would be perfect for her.  Winter weather won't stop Carmen but she'll appreciate a coat or sweater to cover her short fur when it gets cold.

Obedience training is a must for an independent breed like the Fox Terrier and will help Carmen understand just what's expected of her. She's a clever gal but may try to do what she wants to if she can get away with it.

Like most shelter dogs, Carmen may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained. Carmen gets along great with other dogs but has not yet been tested with cats or kids.
