Hey, Y'all! I'm Bear--an 8-month-old, 38-pound Plott Hound mix--and I love the following things: curling up in your lap, giving lots of puppy kisses and running around with other dogs. They say I'm quite the cuddle bug! My gentle spirit and sweet attitude would be a welcome addition to any busy household.

I was sitting in a shelter in Houston for no good reason, when Hurricane Harvey decided he was going to make landfall down there, and so some nice folks out in San Antonio came and grabbed me so I could help make room for another dog who maybe got separated from his or her humans in the storm. And then once I got to San Antonio, I found out I would be coming here! Hooooo! That's a lot of travel for a young girl like me!

Because I am a young girl, I'm probably going to need nice, long walks, frequent trips to the dog park, and plenty of opportunities to play and run around! However, when I'm all kinds of tired out, I sure look forward to taking a snooze on my very own new cozy bed! Aw, man! That sounds just heavenly!

I'm not sure how I'll do with cats yet, but we can certainly figure that out when I get to town! Additionally, I can't wait for you to sign me up for some obedience classes, so I can show you what a polite and well-mannered young lady I can be!

So, what'cha think? Are you ready for a sweetie pie like me to come bouncing on into your life? Fill out and submit an application for me today!

Like most shelter dogs, Bear may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.
