Hi, my name is Bootsie and I'm an approximately 12 week old, female, approximately 12 pound, retriever mix looking for my very own forever home. My sibling and I are really grateful that the nice people at Lucky Dog are giving us the chance to go to DC and find our special person or people. We really, really don't like the shelter. It's cold and noisy and we get really nervous. We try to be brave and help each other, but it's really hard.

Do you think you have some space in your home for a little bed, some fun toys, and maybe some yummy treats? I wouldn't take up too much room, although the people at the shelter say I might get a bit bigger. But I'll be very good, I promise. I wish I could go to obedience school so I could learn some real doggie manners. I would try so hard and I bet I could be the best in the class!

I love playing with other dogs! I haven't met any cats, but I'm willing to give it a try. I really love playing with children! I think I would really like to snuggle up on a couch for a nice nap. That sounds heavenly!

Due to her young age, Bootsie has not yet been spayed.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than 12/15/17.   

Like most puppies, Bootsie needs to work on her house-training. She will also need to go to obedience school so she can grow into a well-socialized dog!
