Koda is a KEEPER!

KODA NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Koda    Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd mix

Best Guess for Age: 2 1/2 yrs     SEX: Female

Approximate Weight: 45 - 50 lbs

Has Lived With: other dogs

Currently Living at: A cold scary shelter and needs to jail break to a loving foster or, better yet, forver home.

Koda is a 2 1/2 year old, 45 - 50 pound shepherd mix who is in desperate need of a loving family. Koda once had a family, but they dropped her off at the shelter and now she is all alone. She craves human affection and deserves a family that will love and value her!

Koda is a gorgeous girl with a beautiful brindle coat and big smile! She would look great walking next to you through the city while you find an outdoor brunch spot, would love to join you on a weekend hike through the beautiful fall leaves, or maybe play in the yard with the kids. She gets along well with other dogs so he would fit in well with an existing pack, or could be an only child and soak up all the attention.

Koda will need regular exercise and socialization to keep her happy and healthy. She would also greatly benefit from obedience school where she can master the techniques of being a good girl! Whatever your lifestyle, Koda just wants to be a part of it!

Like most shelter dogs, Koda may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.

Koda has tested positive and has been treated for for Heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites.  Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative.

The adoption fee for this dog is $450, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Lauren at laurenm@luckydoganimalrescue.org!
