Hansel is a 10 year old 11 pound boy who is soooo sweet!!
He had back surgery a couple of years ago, but he is still unable to walk very far. He can get up and take a few steps and he can go to the bathroom himself with only occasional assistance. He asks to go outside and if he can't get there, he goes on a pee pad.
He's good with kids, adults and other dogs. He LOVES toys and snuggling near people (head on feet if at all possible). He's a super sweet boy who needs very little extra care.
I’m a master blanket burrower! Although my back legs don't work, I can climb into bed and wiggle myself under the covers so that I am fully covered with just the tip of my snout sticking out. My sniffer monitors my surroundings; I can detect a duck outside and give him the barking business without ever leaving the comfort of my bed.
You need not feel sorry for this IVDD survivor; I can outrun my housemates when the food bowl comes out! Speaking of suppertime, it’s a good idea to feed me separately. I’m such a foodie, I tend to get testy when I sense competition. You should know that I am rather vocal; I’ll bark when someone is at the door, when meeting new dogs and people (although I like everyone I meet) and, of course, when I see/smell those ducks!
