Currently Living at: DC AREA FOSTER.

Special adoption considerations: Young puppy. Brittany cannot be left for more than 2-3 hours at a time. Applicants who are away from the home for 8+ hours daily will need to provide proof of a multiple times a day dog walking commitment prior to adoption.

Howdy folks! Britt here and I'm looking for a pawsome home to hang my leash! I'm a young rambunctious girl so I hope this home has lots of fun in store for me! How about we take lots of walks so I can traipse thru the piles of colorful fall leaves that abound! Ohhhh and I'd love to take trips to the doggie park where I can build my canine posse! ohhhhh just thinking about it gets my tail all wiggly waggly!

Don't forget since I am an impressionable young lady I'll nee to go to doggie manners school so I can be your BEST girl!

ANNNND NOW...A FEW WORDS FROM MY FOSTER:

"Oh my goodness I could just gush about her for days. Brit is literally the perfect puppy. In the morning, after sleeping through the whole night, she doesn’t say a peep until you get up to say hello to her in her CLEAN crate!! She eats like a champ and is super cuddly, goes #1 & 2 on the potty pads, and I can barely tell she’s teething. She loves belly rubs and I have never met a dog with a happier tail. Brittany is happy, inquisitive (if she hears a new sound, she will stop chewing on her bully stick and listen for a minute, but then go right back to what she was doing) and loves her people and pups best. Her foster brother and her get along great and she loves to play with him! As far as training goes, she is very good-motivated and has already learned sit. We are working on down but I’m sure she’ll have that in no time. She is so wonderful - I can’t wait to meet her new family!"

Brittany is not old enough to have had all of her vaccines.  It will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time.  Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, she is at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.   

Due to her young age, Brittany has not yet been spayed or neutered.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than 15 JAN 2018.   

Like most puppies, Brittany will need to work on her housetraining. Brittany will also need to go to obedience school so she can grow into a well-socialized dog!
