ZOOM ZOOM! Meet Nitro, a 1-2 year old, 12-15 lb, male Jack Russell Terrier mix with the most adorable ears! This dashing young pup ended up in a scary shelter through no fault of his own, and is ready to come to DC to find his forever family! Jack Russell Terrier mixes are known for their happy and energetic personalities, as well as their intelligence and funny antics! Are you ready for some FUN in your life?  

Although Nitro is a small pup, he is full of energy, fun and smarts - this is no couch potato!  Are you an active person who would like a running and hiking buddy (that doesn't hog the entire couch)?  Are you ready to enroll in obedience school or agility and have the smartest guy in class (with the best moves)? Are you excited to play fetch at the dog park and watch this fun-loving guy sprint some laps with the other dogs? If you answered yes to these questions, Nitro may be the man for you!  

Nitro gets along fabulously with other dogs.  He has not been tested with kitties or kiddies, but if you have them, we can see how he does when he arrives in DC! Like most shelter dogs, Nitro may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained. 

From Nitro's Foster: "He likes to cuddle and run around the dog park. He chased after the ball a little but mostly chased after my dog who was running after the ball! He's also super good in his crate. He was absolutely silent all night!"
