Best Guess for Age: 2-3 years    Sex:  Female

Approximate Weight: 47 pounds

Currently Living at: DC area foster home - Betsy needs a forever home ASAP!

Gets Along With: Dogs her size or larger

Special Adoption Considerations: Betsy will do best with an experienced dog person and living in a non-apartment home WITHOUT children under age 12, small dogs, cats, or other small critters. She’s not well-suited for large amounts of time in doggy daycare.    

Betsy is Looking For: Betsy has been let down by human and is looking for someone to give her a chance and the loving support she needs. With proper introductions and patience, she's a happy, cheerful girl who loves to give everyone kisses! Betsy does well at home and in the crate but would also love to have a backyard of her own to explore.

What My Foster Says About Me:  Betsy is perfect inside the house. She follows all the rules, is not a chewer, and is not a velcro dog. Betsy is very affectionate and loves attention but she waits patiently for you to notice her. Betsy is a good eater and has no food allergies so far. Betsy gets along very well with my two large dogs and seems most comfortable as the follower in the pack. Betsy has adapted very well to a low energy house and she does not need a lot of exercise, a couple of walks or time in a back yard every day will be enough for her.

Like most shelter dogs, Betsy may need a refresher on housetraining. She/he is likely crate trained.
