Currently Living at: scary shelter, coming to DC soon and would love a foster, or better, forever family!

Meet sweet, scruffy Schwartz!  This southern gentleman is wire haired terrier mix, about a year old and weights 10-12 lbs.  Schwartz ended up in the scary shelter through no fault of his own, and wants to come to DC and find his new humans in time to enjoy a nice pumpkin spice latte!  Schwartz wants nothing more than a family of his own, with human(s) to take him for long walks (to chase some falling leaves!), regular trips to the dog park to sniff, run and play fetch, to show off his smarts in obedience school, unlimited dog toys and love, and of course, someone to snuggle up with after a brisk fall day!  Can you see yourself with a dapper southern gentleman like him?

He is happy and active! He's got a little spot on his nose from trying to get out of his cage at the pound, we think he was trying to find people as he likes to be carried.  Like most shelter dogs, Schwartz may need a refresher on house training. He is likely crate trained. Schwartz loves people and gets along with other dogs.  He has not been tested with kitties or kiddies, but we can find out when he comes to town!
