Hello, my name Aragorn. I'm a 6-month-old, 35 pound, male boxer mix puppy. My sister, Eeowyn, and I are waiting patiently for our forever homes. I know it may take a long time and there may be many battles to fight. But I will be brave and fight, not just for me, but for Eowyn and for all of my puppy people! When we were scared, Eowyn and I formed the Fellowship of the Puppyhood and pledged to protect and love each other until we find forever homes of our very own.
When the nice people found us we were hiding by a landfill, we couldn't even stand up we were so hungry. They rushed us to the emergency vet and no one thought we would survive the first few days. But we fought hard and with IV nutrition and round the clock care from our new friends, we were able to pull through. Then we went to a foster home where we did something called water therapy, it's kind of like swimming, to help us build up our strength. We had so much to overcome, but we are on the right path now.
The people here are great, but we'd love to have homes of our very own. We were really excited to come to DC and hopefully find someone to love us, but we're kind of nervous, too, but we'll be very brave. Everything is so big and new and different! I think of my search for a home as a quest for a golden ring, I know I can find it in the end! Can you help me?
Like most puppies, Aragorn will need to work on his housetraining. He will also need to go to obedience school so he can grow into a well-socialized dog!
