4 year old, 15 to 20 lb. female Beagle mix

JUBILEE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Jubilee    Best Guess for Breed: Beagle mix

Best Guess for Age: 4 years    SEX:  Female

Approximate Weight: 15 to 20 lbs.

Has Lived With: other dogs

Currently Living at: DC foster

Special adoption considerations: Could be vocal due to breed.

Sweet Jubilee is that among the rarest of hound dogs. What makes her so special? Well, according to the shelter she wants to please and if you know anything about hounds you understand how untypical that is. Beagles are famous for being independent so finding one who likes to please people is like finding a 4-leaf clover. You don't want to miss your chance to adopt this amazing little girl!

At four years old Jubilee is past the puppy stage and is now a young lady. At about 17 lbs. Jubilee is on the skinny side but we expect her to fill out a bit more as she chows down on some quality dog food. Jubilee is a medium-level energy dog. She enjoys her walks but then is happy to come home and relax. She's a cuddler who loves being with her people.

According to her foster, Jubilee is very sweet but shy; when meeting new people it takes her a little while to warm up. She will follow you from room to room and doesn't like to be left alone for too long. She would do well in a home where someone is around much of the day.

Jubilee is looking forward to going to obedience school so she can show you just how good a dog she can be. A dog who likes to please will be a joy to train so obedience class should be a great experience for both of you. You might want to spend time teaching her some tricks and introducing her to puzzle games to keep her mind active.

According to her foster Jubilee is doing great with housetraining. She is also likely crate trained. Jubilee likes other dogs but has not yet been tested with cats. She now lives in a home with a child but rambunctious children might be too much for her. Jubilee would do best in a home with older kids.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Diane at dianep@luckydoganimalrescue.org!
