Well, hi there! I'm Robin--a 5-year-old, 12-pound Jack Russell Terrier mix, and I just came here allllll the way from St. Maarten! I'm extra-super lucky, because not only did I survive Hurricane Irma, I was able to fly to the DC area to find my new family! Talk about Lucky!

We JRTs are FAMOUS for our wit and energy, so you'll need to be prepared to take me on plenty of long walks, as well as give me tons of opportunities to run around with other dogs, because I LOVE socializing! How about a dog park? I hear they're a howling good time! On the other hand, once I'm good and tired out, I am the absolute perfect size for crashing out in your place--even if it's a tiny one! All I need is a cozy bed, a couple of little food and water dishes, a small crate, and YOU, my friend!

I'm not sure how I'll do with cats or kids, yet, but we can figure that out when I arrive! In addition, I can't wait for you to sign me up for some obedience classes so I can learn my basic commands and how to walk nicely on a leash. I'll go straight to the head of the class for sure!

I tested positive for and have been treated for ehrlichia--a tick borne disease. I shouldn't have any long term effects from this, but I like to be forthcoming!

Like most shelter dogs, Robin may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.
