Teddy the Terrier Mix!

TEDDY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Teddy    Best Guess for Breed: Terrier mix  

Best Guess for Age: 2 years old as of 10/27/17    SEX: male

Approximate Weight: 60 lbs.

Has Lived With: other dogs 

Currently Living at: D.C. area foster home 

Teddy is a handsome 2 year old Terrier mix. He weighs about 60 lbs and, because of his age, may fill out a bit but is otherwise done growing. We don't know how this sweet goof ended up in a shelter but it hasn't dampened his spirits one bit and he can't wait to meet his forever family!

Teddy will need plenty of exercise and playtime each day to be a happy and healthy pup. He would love to go on daily long walks, hikes and regular trips to the dog park. After he's tuckered out, Teddy loves cuddling up for a nice nap and belly rub. He can't wait to go to obedience training with his new family so that he can bond with his people and become his very best self!

Teddy is good with other dogs so he'd be a great addition to an existing pack or happy to soak up all the attention as an only dog. The nice folks at Lucky Dog don't know how Teddy is with young kids but if you're interested, let us know and we can try to find out!

Foster Update: Teddy is great in the car, dog park, and in the house. He has obviously lived in a house before and knows what to chew and what not to chew. He integrated into my pack as fast as any dog has, by being polite and confident. I have seen no aggression or fear from Teddy except that he likes to bark when someone knocks on the door, even on TV. He is affectionate with me and the dogs, and plays a lot with Wendell. Teddy sleeps when he should, goes to the bathroom where he should and eats like a normal dog (not crazy fast).  Teddy is very smart and follows rules once he learns them.

Like most shelter dogs, Teddy may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained.
