IT'S MY TURN! IT'S MY TURN!! I'm Chester, a 7-month-old, 50-pound Black Labrador mix, and oh, my goodness, East Coast hoomans... I have been waiting and waiting and waiting and I finally got MY TURN to hitch a ride up to the DC area to meet my new family!

I am coming ALL the way from Houston, Texas, by way of San Antonio. Can you believe there are STILL homeless doggos from Hurricane Harvey? It's true! But, I believe it is important to always make a good first impression, so here I am wearing a tie to meet you! Doesn't that show what a VERY good boy I clearly am? I am super young, so you can expect that I will need LOTS of exercise, and walks alone may not be enough! I'm going to need several long walks throughout the day, probably several opportunities to run thoughout the week (maybe more!), and it's important that you keep my very smart brain engaged with fetch, lots of games, and problem-solving puzzles!

On the other hand, once I'm all worn out. Nobody naps harder than me. No one. So a cozy blanket or bed of my own would be pretty sweet. You know. If you're making a shopping list and all. Yes. Please add "cozy LARGE bed" to the list, if you don't mind.

I'm not too sure how I'll do with cats or kids, but we can certainly figure that out if you have 'em. In addition, I can't wait for you to sign me up for some obedience classes so I can learn all my basic commands and show you what a good boy I can be.

So how's about it? Are you ready for a friendly, ridiculously handsome gentleman to join your pack? Fill out and submit an application for me today!

Like most shelter dogs, Chester may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained.
