BUDDY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Buddy    Best Guess for Breed: Pointer/Labrador Retriever

Best Guess for Age: 2 years         SEX: Male

Approximate Weight: 42 lbs

Has Lived With: other dogs

Currently Living at: Local boarding

Hi, my name is Buddy and I am 42 pounds of snuggly dog love. I'm coming up to DC soon and would love to be your best friend! At 2 years old I can certainly brush up on my manners, tricks, and house-training, but I would love to go to obedience school! Being young and new to the shelter, I might not know my name yet and won't be offended if you change it - but I'm suuuuuper cute no matter what my name is!

I love running, romping, and exploring! I plan on snuggling and watching Netflix with you, but will also need lots of time at the dog park to stay healthy and socialize with my new friends. Since I do get along well with other pups, I'd be happy to join your family and get canine siblings!

Please be patient with house-training since it will be my first time living in a home. As I have been living in a shelter, I am likely crate trained. Though I am very good with other dogs, I've never been around cats or kids - if you are interested, the nice people at Lucky Dog can find out!

VOLUNTEER UPDATE:

"I was assigned Buddy at Sunday's adoption event. If you need some additional info for his bio, I can tell you he was the sweetest, most gentle and patient dog ever. My 8 year old daughter and her friends couldn’t stop hugging this gentle dog and he was so patient with them. He also was a rockstar on his leash and would walk right next to me if we needed to walk elsewhere in front of petco. He also was a fast learner! at the end of the 2 hours, he knew if I put my hand in my pocket that I would pull out a treat and would immediately sit to get the treat. You could see in his eyes he just wanted a home and I hope someone adopts him soon. He would be an incredible pet to have."

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Chanell Dunham at chanelld@luckydoganimalrescue.org!
