Hello, my name is Bruno Mars.  I am perfect just the way I am and I'm guessing you are also perfect just the way you are.  I am looking forward to livin' it up in the city (with you)!  My friends and I have made our way to the DC area after waiting over 2 months since Irma and Maria.  The amazing humans on the island have been taking great care of us but we are now here to find our forever families!

I am dreaming of a home with my very own bed and with humans who will make sure I get lots of exercise and chances to socialize with other dogs.  I heard a rumor that you have parks that are JUST for dogs there-- where we can run around off leash and make friends.  I have been through a lot in the last couple of months so I need a family who will be patient with me while I get settled in, and give me lots of structure while I learn the new routine.  I also heard that dogs can go to school-- and that sounds like something I'd be interested in.

Bruno Mars was treated for demodex mange in Puerto Rico and is now recovering.  We think he probably also has some food allergies so will probably need to be on a limited ingredient diet for the foreseeable future.  Now that he's been treated and is on his no poultry food-- his hair is slowly growing back in and he'll have a beautiful white coat soon.

Bruno Mars is doing great in foster care-- he likes to keep the couch warm, sleeps through the night and is doing well with crate training.  He's still very much a puppy so he's working on leash manners and basic commands and doing great!

Like most shelter dogs, Bruno Mars may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Megan D. at megan.luckydog@gmail.com!
