BAYLA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Bayla    Best Guess for Breed: Lab/Terrier mix

Best Guess for Age: 10-12 weeks as of 12/12     SEX: Female

Approximate Weight: 12 lbs as of 12/12

Has Lived With: other dogs

Currently Living at: DC area foster

Special adoption considerations: Young puppy who will need LOTS of structure, exercise, frequent potty breaks, and socialization; commitment to spay/neuter by 6 months.  Due to Bayla's tender age she cannot be left alone for more than 2-3 hours at a time. Applicants who are away from the home for a standard 8+ hour workday MUST provide PROOF of a MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY dog walking commitment PRIOR to adoption!

Hello world...my name is Bayla.  I had a bit of a rough start but things are looking up for me since I met the nice people at Lucky Dog.  They have been taking care of me and getting me ready to find my forever family.  I am a young girl who will need lots of patience, structure, training and exercise to become a well behaved young lady.  I am dreaming of long walks, trips to the dog park, puppy kindergarten graduations and a bed of my very own.

Foster update:   Princess Bayla has been wonderful. She mostly sleeps through the night and loves to play when she wakes up. She is a hungry girl who loves her meals. She has mastered her puppy pads for the bathroom. She loves playing tug of war but her favorite game is fetching and she’s a pro at it, always bringing the ball right back. She loves belly rubs and mid-day naps on the couch; especially cuddling up next to her human.  Bayla is definitely teething so she playfully nibbles a lot and tried to chew almost everything she can.

Bayla is not old enough to have had all of her vaccines.  It will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time.  Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, she is at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.

Due to her young age, Bayla has not yet been spayed.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than 3/15/2018.

Like most puppies, Bayla will need to work on her housetraining. Bayla will also need to go to obedience school so she can grow into a well-socialized dog!

The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Megan D. at megan.luckydog@gmail.com!
