Meet gorgeous Antoinette ! This sweet 3-year-old Labrador mix, weighing in at approximately 45 lbs., found herself at a shelter through no fault of her own. Now she's in DC in the hopes of finding a loving family to give her a second shot at a happy life!

As a young and energetic dog, Antoinette will need both mental and physical stimulation on a daily basis to keep her happy and healthy. An adopter who works full time would need to commit to having a midday dog walker for her during the week.

Antoinette would benefit from frequent trips to the dog park or even doggie daycare so she can socialize with her canine friends! And of course, upon returning home, she'd love to shower her new forever family with tons of kisses and cuddles!

Foster update:  "She is an incredibly sweet dog, good natured and gentle. She is timid in new situations but adjusts easily and is easygoing. For example, she initially struggled walking on hard wood floors and doing stairs and now she is a pro. She is a good sleeper at night. She LOVES romping around our large fenced yard with our 3 other dogs, plays chase with them and is lightning fast. She goes in and out of the electronic doggie door very well. She sniffs, whines every now and then but I have yet to hear her bark."

Although Antoinette loves people and gets along well with other dogs, we haven't had a chance to see her interact with kids or cats yet. If you have them, let us know, and we'll do our best to find out! Antoinette is also looking forward to attending obedience school to hone in her doggie manners and be the best dog she can be!

Like most shelter dogs, Antoinette may need a refresher on house-training. She is likely crate trained.
