Currently Living at: Scary rural shelter. Tessa needs a foster or a forever home. 

 Hi everyone! My name is Tessa and I am a 10-month-old, 25 pound terrior mix. Tessa found herself at the shelter through no fault of her own and is looking for a forever family to give her love and attention she deserves. Could it be yours? 

Tessa is a lively and playful dog, so she’ll require an active family that can keep up with her and will provide him with PLENTY of exercise and playtime. She will need both mental and physical stimulation on a daily basis to keep her happy and healthy. As a young dog, Tessa needs her exercise. She would love to go on long walks, hikes, and take trips to the dog park so she can socialize with her canine friends. And of course, upon returning home, she'd love to shower her new forever family with tons of kisses and cuddles! 

Tessa gets along well with other dogs so she'd be a great addition to an existing pack – or she'd be happy to soak up all the attention as an only dog! We haven't had a chance to see her interact with kids yet, but she has passed the cat shelter test! If you have them, let us know, and we'll do our best to find out! Tessa is also looking forward to attending obedience school to hone in her doggie manners and impress her new family.

 Like most shelter dogs, Tessa may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.
