Hello! My name is Caitlyn. I am an adorable 1 year old lab mix looking for my forever home! I am currently living in a scary shelter but am so excited to make my way up to this place called, D.C really soon! I hear it has lots of loving families looking to add dogs like me to their lives! 

I'm still pretty young which means I am a LOT of fun and will need plenty of exercise everyday. After we play, I'd love to cuddle with you while we watch Netflix (I'm pretty chill so you can even pick what we watch!) I am around 30 lbs which means I still fit in your lap (or at least I think I can). I would love to go to obedience school with you so you and I can learn good manners, go for long walks, run around at the dog park and go on lots of adventures! I'd love to have a doggy sibling but am also happy to be the center of your attention! 

Like most shelter dogs, Caitlyn may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained. 

Caitlyn  has tested positive for Heartworm disease.  Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites.  Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative.
