Meet Clyde! This handsome and sweet boy is a 1-2 yr old Labrador Retriever mix, weighing in at approximately 48 pounds. Clyde found himself at the shelter through no fault of his own and is looking for a forever family to give him the love and attention he deserves! Could it be yours?

FOSTER UPDATE:  His name is actually Clyde! He is the most obedient dog I have had so far. He responds to commands like “come” and “sit”. He is 100% house trained. He is well mannered.  He is a low energy dog. It is clear he has not had much activity in his life. He gets winded easily. He does not like to play with toys.  He seems get along very well with other dogs with no apparent desire to assert dominance.  This would be an idea dog for an older person or a house with babies. He might be too low energy for a house looking for a pet interested in play time. However, he is overweight and might be more interested in play time if he was in better shape. For now is a lap/watch dog.

Clyde will need both mental and physical stimulation on a daily basis to keep him happy and healthy. An adopter who works full time would need to commit to having a midday dog walker for him during the week. He would love to go on long walks, hikes, and take trips to the dog park so he can socialize with his canine friends. And of course, upon returning home, he'd love to shower his new forever family with tons of kisses and cuddles! Don’t let his size fool you, Clyde has a total lap-dog mentality and LOVES to cuddle! :)

Clyde gets along well with other dogs so he'd be a great addition to an existing pack –– or he'd be happy to soak up all the attention as an only dog! Clyde does well with kids but does NOT do well with cats so he cannot go to a home with any feline siblings!

Clyde is also looking forward to attending obedience school to hone in his doggie manners and impress his new family.

Clyde will make a great companion and family member; you won’t regret opening your heart and home to this sweet boy!

Like most shelter dogs, Clyde may need a refresher on house-training. He is likely crate trained.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Kelly at KellyR@luckydoganimalrescue.org!
