Harley

2-year ld, 32 lb. male Beagle mix

HARLEY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Harley    Best Guess for Breed: Beagle mix

Best Guess for Age:  2 years     SEX:  male

Approximate Weight:  32 lbs.

Has Lived With: other dogs

Currently Living at: the shelter, Harley needs a foster and a forever home.

Special adoption considerations: May be vocal, due to breed.

The folks at the shelter where Beagle boy Harley is staying can't say enough good things about him. They tell us he is a sweetheart who is calm and friendly to everyone he meets. In addition to being super cute Harley walks well on a lead and likes to snuggle. What more could anyone ask for?

At 32 lbs. Harley is a solid little guy who can hold his own with bigger dogs and would love to roughhouse with you. Beagles are known for their stamina so be prepared to provide him with plenty of exercise. In addition to long walks each day Harley would love some time at the dog park so he could run off leash or perhaps a few trips each week to doggie daycare where he could enjoy some canine companionship.

Beagles are notorious chow hounds so don't let Harley sucker you into sharing your food with his soulful eyes. Beagles will never tell you that they are full! Take advantage of the classic Beagle love of food and use treats to motivate Harley. Training is critical with any dog so the sooner you start the better. Harley will appreciate the chance to learn new things and to show you what a good dog he can be once he knows the rules you want him to follow.

Like most shelter dogs, Harley may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained. Harley is good with other dogs but has not yet been tested with cats or kids.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Diane at dianep@luckydoganimalrescue!
