Meet 12 year old, 17 pound Mardi! She is good with other dogs and is currently interviewing for her forever family! She needs meds for her eyes and a few extra minutes to warm up!

From Mardi:

I am a creature of habit; change makes me ornery. I like to play with toys, lounge in the sun, sleep in my bed or crate and be with my people.  I’m content in my own space; I wouldn’t call myself a lap dog, If you are new to me, I’ll keep my distance and observe before warming up to you. When I’m out and about and meeting new people, I usually bark, as it takes me a while to trust. My bark is worse than my bite, however, since I have no teeth. This doesn’t stop me from enjoying my favorite foods; in fact, I could stand to lose a few pounds. I have dry eye, which needs attention twice a week. I may not be the easiest of dogs, but I know the right family is out there for me.
