Best Guess for Age: 5-6 years (as of 8/17/18)   SEX: Male

Approximate Weight: 68 pounds, but severely underweight (as of 8/17/18)

Has Lived With:  Other shelter doggies

Currently Living at: DC foster

Special adoption considerations: Bruce does best as an only dog

Foster Update:  He is house broken and crate trained.  Sleeps through the night.  Respects the house rules - doesn't jump on furniture, people, we literally can leave wine and cheese at his level and he won't go near it - amazing.  He loves humans, loves snuggles, loves snoozing. Really easygoing. He's also great with kids - see video!

Meet sweet, southern Bruce! Bruce is a 5-6 year old shepherd/mastiff mix weighing in at about 68 lbs and he can't wait to meet you!

Bruce, though out of the crazy puppy stages, will still need PLENTY of exercise and cannot wait to learn with you in DC! He's dreaming of long walks and trips to the dog park in his future and would love to play with new toys, explore the neighborhood and even go to obedience classes to show off just how smart he is! He's counting down the minutes until he can meet your friends, go on trips, and cuddle up with you on the couch after a long day. He will need plenty of metal stimulation daily, as well, to stay happy and healthy! 

With a proper introduction, Bruce is OK with other dogs, but will do best in a home as an only dog. He is GREAT with kids! Just let us know if you have cats and we can test him out!
