Currently Living at: DC area foster home. Chesley needs a forever home!

Foster Update:  Chesley is very sweet, calm, potty trained and crate trained.

Meet sweet Chesley! Chesley is a 3 year old german shepherd mix weighing in at 45 lbs and she can't wait to meet you!

Chesley is a young dog and will need PLENTY of exercise and cannot wait to learn with you in DC! She's dreaming of long walks and trips to the dog park in her future and would love to play with new toys, explore the neighborhood and even go to obedience classes to show off just how smart she is! She's counting down the minutes until she can meet your friends, go on trips, and cuddle up with you on the couch after a long day. She will need plenty of metal stimulation daily, as well, to stay happy and healthy!

Chesley is GREAT with other dogs, so she'd be a good addition to an existing pack or happy to soak up all the attention as an only dog. She hasn't yet met kids or cats - let us know if you have any and we can test her out!

Chesley  has tested positive and has been treated for Heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites.  Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative.
